How can the food stay fresh for 18 months without a refrigerator?

We use Retort Technology. The food is sealed in a specialized 4-layer pouch that blocks 100% of light, air, and moisture. We then apply high-pressure heat to kill all bacteria inside. Since no new bacteria can get in through the seal, the food stays fresh at room temperature until you open it.

If there are no preservatives, why doesn't the food spoil?

Spoilage is caused by bacteria and oxygen.

  • No Bacteria: Our thermal process sterilizes the food completely.
  • No Oxygen: The hermetic seal prevents oxidation (which makes fats go rancid). Without bacteria or oxygen, the food physically cannot spoil. We don't need chemicals because we’ve removed the causes of decay.

Does the high heat destroy the nutrients or the taste?

Actually, it preserves them better than many other methods.

Because the food is sealed before it is heated, all the natural juices, aromas, and minerals are trapped inside the pouch. They don't "steam away" into the air. This is why our Chicken Chukka and Prawn Thokku taste like they were just cooked in a home kitchen.

Is the pouch material safe? Does it leach chemicals into the food?

Yes, it is 100% food-grade and BPA-Free.

Our pouches are specifically designed for high-temperature sterilization. They are made of multiple layers (including a thin aluminum foil layer that never touches the food) to ensure the contents are protected from the outside environment without any chemical migration.

Global reports say RTE food is bad for gut health. Is this true for Emperor Foods?

Those reports are talking about Ultra-Processed Foods (UPFs) that use "gut-disrupting" chemicals like emulsifiers and artificial stabilizers.

The Emperor Foods is "Clean Label." We use only natural ingredients meat, onions, ginger, garlic, and spices. Since we use zero chemicals, our products do not cause the gut inflammation associated with mass-produced industrial RTE meals.

Why is this better than frozen food?
